The <br /> .�,,,+;,,., .,f +�e City Council ma,�,y motion, suspend the provisions of this Division, <br /> including parking meter rates and the repuirement to pay parking meter fees, at <br /> additional times and/or days in any case where the Council finds that strict compliance <br /> would not serve the public interest, including but not limited to the use of public streets <br /> and sidewalks for celebrations, special public events, celebration of holiday seasons <br /> and any other such activity or purpose as the City Council in its sole discretion shall <br /> determine. <br /> [Editorial Note: the City Council is in the process of amending its Parking Ordinance by <br /> Ordinance No. 2406. Ordinance No. 2406 was introduced on April 28, 2014, and is <br /> scheduled for adoption on June 9, 2014. If Ordinance No. 2406 is adopted and <br /> becomes effective, this Section 20.133 will be moved to Section 20.134 and its title will <br /> read as follows: "Sec. 20.134. PROVISIONS FOR TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF <br /> PARKING METER RATES".] <br /> Section 4. This Ordinance is not a project subject to the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act. <br /> Section 5. The City Clerk shall publish this Ordinance in accordance with <br /> applicable law. <br /> Section 6.
