ORDINANCE NO. 2409 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING DIVISIONS 3, 7 AND 8 AND ADDING DIVISIONS 14 AND 15 OF ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY CODE OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO PARKING NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council adopts the following findings: A. The City of Redwood City wants to provide a mixed use, walkable downtown that allows residents to forego (or limit) car ownership

In no event shall more than one-half ('/2) of the total curb length in any <br /> block be reserved for loading zone purposes. <br /> C. Loading zones shall be indicated by a yellow paint line stenciled with black <br /> letters, "LOADING ONLY", upon the top of all curbs within such zones and/or bv <br /> si_qnage in compliance with the California Vehicle Code. <br /> D. Passenger loading zones shall be indicated by a white line stenciled with <br /> black letters, "PASSENGER LOADING ONLY", upon the top of all curbs within such <br /> zones and/or bv siqnaqe in compliance with the Califomia Vehicle Code. <br /> E. Handicapped parking zones shall be indicated by a blue paint line <br /> stenciled with white letters, "HANDICAPPED PARKING ONLY", upon the top of all <br /> curbs within such zones and/or bv siqnage in compliance with the Califomia Vehicle <br /> Code. <br /> F. Car Share zones or spaces shall be indicated by signage in compliance <br /> with the California Vehicle Code. <br /> G. Electric-charc�ing zones or spaces shall be indicated by signage in <br /> compliance with the Califomia Vehicle Code. <br /> Sec. 20.109. CURB MARKINGS OR SIGNAGE TO INDICATE STOPPING AND <br /> PARKING REGULATIONS; COMPLIANCE WITH CURB MARKINGS AND SIGNAGE <br /> REQUIRED: <br /> The City Manager is hereby authorized, subject to the provisions and limitations of this <br /> Chapter, to place, and when required herein shall place, the following curb markings to <br /> indicate parking or standing regulations, and such curb markings shall have the <br /> meanings herein set forth: <br /> A. Red shall mean no stopping, standing or parking at any time except as <br /> permitted by the Vehicle Code of this State, and except that a bus may stop in a red <br /> zone marked or signed as a bus zone. <br /> B.
