ORDINANCE NO. 2409 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING DIVISIONS 3, 7 AND 8 AND ADDING DIVISIONS 14 AND 15 OF ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY CODE OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO PARKING NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council adopts the following findings: A. The City of Redwood City wants to provide a mixed use, walkable downtown that allows residents to forego (or limit) car ownership

11/17/2014 <br /> holidays for any purpose other than the loading or unloading of passengers or materials, <br /> provided that the loading or unloading of passengers shall not consume more than three <br /> (3) minutes nor the loading or unloading of materials more than twenty (20) minutes. <br /> C. White shall mean no stopping, standing or parking for any purpose other <br /> than loading or unloading of passengers which shall not exceed three (3) minutes, and <br /> such restriction shall apply between seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) <br /> P.M. of any day except Sundays and holidays and except as follows: <br /> 1. When such zone is in front of a hotel the restrictions shall apply at <br /> all times. <br /> 2. When such zone is in front of a theater the restrictions shall apply <br /> at all times except when such theater is closed. unless more <br /> restrictive hours are posted on signage, in which case, the <br /> restrictions shall applv during the hours posted. <br /> 3. When such zone is in front of a school, the restrictions shall apalv <br /> only when school is in session and then only during the hours <br /> posted on siqnaqe. <br /> D. Green shall mean no standing or parking for longer than twenty (20) <br /> minutes at any time befinreen seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) P.M. of <br /> any day except Sundays and holidays. <br /> E. Blue shall mean no stopping, standing or parking except for vehicles of <br /> physically handicapped persons; provided, however, that such vehicles shall be subject <br /> to all other parking regulations contained in this Chapter regulating parking on those <br /> streets upon which such zone has been designated. <br /> In addition to or in lieu of curb markings, such restrictions mav be indicated bv posted <br /> signaQe in compliance with the California Vehicle Code. When the City Manager as <br /> authorized under this Chapter has caused curb markings to be placed or signage to be <br /> op sted, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle adjacent to any such legible curb <br /> marking or posted signage in violation of any of the provisions of this Section. <br /> [Sections 20.110-20.114 of Division 3 remain unchanged.] <br /> Section 4. Chapter 20, Article VII, Division 7 is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> DIVISION 7.
