ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XV, SECTION 18.253 TO CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS AND CREDITS TO THE TRANSPORTATION IMPACT FEES FOR USES EXCEPT PROFESSIONAL, MEDICAL, BUSINESS AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE USES WITHIN A CERTAIN DEFINED DOWNTOWN AREA.

that do not qualify for an exemption shall be required to pay the Impact Fee in <br /> accordance with the Impact Fee Schedule. <br /> <br /> (b) Definitions: <br /> <br /> Professional Office: An office for providing professional or consulting services <br /> in the fields of law, architecture, engineering, accounting, architectural and <br /> engineering design, and similar professions (but excluding medical offices), <br /> including associated incidental product testing and prototype development, <br /> but excluding product manufacture or assembly and excluding use of <br /> hazardous materials in excess of the exempt amounts contained in the <br /> Uniform Building Code and Uniform Fire Code, as said codes are adopted <br /> and amended from time to time by the City. <br /> <br /> Medical Office: A use providing consultation, diagnosis, therapeutic, <br /> preventative, or corrective personal treatment services by doctors, dentists, <br /> medical and dental laboratories, and similar practitioners of medical and <br /> healing arts for humans, licensed for such practice by the state of California <br /> and including services related to medical research, testing and analysis but <br /> excluding the use of hazardous materials in excess of the exempt amounts <br /> contained in the Uniform Building Code and Uniform Fire Code as said Codes <br /> are adopted and amended by the City from time to time. <br /> <br /> Business Office: A use principally providing services to individuals, firms, or <br /> other entities, including but not limited to real estate, insurance, property <br /> management, title companies, investment, loan and lending institutions, <br /> personnel, travel, and similar services, and including business offices of <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord.169 4 <br />Sorba 012203 <br /> <br /> 2243 <br /> <br /> <br />
