N O. 2018 JUN 25 1990 --------- ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND DECLARING WATER SHORTAGE EMERGENCY, ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS ON THE DELIVERY AND CONSUMPTION OF WATER, AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. FINDINGS AND DETERMINATIONS. The Council of Redwood City hereby finds and determines that: (a) Pursuant to agreement dated as of August 8, 1984, by and between the City of Redwood Ci ty, California, and the City and County of San Francisco, California, the City of Redwood City purchases water for municipal purposes and for resale to customers and users of its water system. <br /> DES:d 05/17/90 (001/9) <br /> DES:djk OS/21/90R <br /> DES:djk 06/11/90R <br />may have occurred in the year preceding or following the base <br />year. <br /> (c) City - The City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California. <br /> (d) Council - The Council of Redwood City, governing body <br />of the City. <br /> (e) Director - The Director of General Services of the <br />City, or his or her duly authorized deputy, officer, employee or <br />agent. <br /> (f) Person - Any person, firm, association, organization, <br />partnership, business trust, corporation, company, or public <br />agency. <br /> (g) Premises - Any parcel of land or any improvement <br />thereon, or any portion of such parcel of such improvement to <br />which water is furnished by the City's water system, and for <br />which water quantity charges are assessed. <br /> (h) Public Agency - Any user which uses any premises for a <br />public use or a quasi-public use, as such terms are defined and <br />described in Ordinance No. 1130, as amended, the Redwood City <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br /> (i) Unit - The unit of measure of water. One unit equals <br /> - <br />100 cubic feet of water, or 748 gallons. <br /> (j ) User - Any person who purchases or is otherwise <br />furnished, or use s , water from the water system of the City, <br />whether such person resides within or without the corporate <br />limits of the City. <br /> 3 <br />
