ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 27.130 AND 27.131 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT CAPACITY FEES, RESPECTIVELY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 27.130 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 27.130. Service Charge s . (a) Established. The following charges are hereby established and levied upon each premise or any portion thereof which receives or uses sewerage service from the sewerage facilities

<br /> DES:djk n9/13/90 (007/09) <br /> DES:djk 9/17/90R <br />the Director determines that any sewer line, or segment <br />thereof, so financed and constructed after July 1, 1966, <br />will benefit and serve properties abutting on one side of <br />such sewer line or segment, only, Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars <br />($950.00) shall be paid for each connection thereto. This <br />subdivision shall not be applicable to portions of the <br />sewerage facilities upon which City funds are expended to <br />pay partially for the expense of construction if the only <br />purpose of the City's contribution to the over-all cost is <br />to cause the construction of a larger sewer main than would <br />have been constructed without the City's contribution. This <br />subdivision shall not be applicable to portions of the <br />sewerage facilities upon which proceeds from any bonds <br />issued by or in connection with a general improvement <br />district are expended. <br /> For purposes of this subdivision, every public sewer <br />constructed prior to January 1, 1960, shall be presumed to <br />have been installed at the sole cost of the adjoining <br />property owners. The Director shall maintain an accurate <br />record of all public sewers installed subsequent to January <br />1, 1960, for the purpose of establishing a record of those <br />sewers or specific portions of sewers, which have been <br />constructed at the City's expense. <br /> In the event two public sewers are installed adjacent <br />to each other in any public right-of-way, one of which is <br />installed at the City's expense and the other at the expense <br />of a subdivider, assessment district, or other private <br /> 8 <br /> -,...-"..~- <br />
