Description
ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 27.130 AND 27.131 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO SEWER SERVICE CHARGES AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT CAPACITY FEES, RESPECTIVELY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 27.130 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 27.130. Service Charge s . (a) Established. The following charges are hereby established and levied upon each premise or any portion thereof which receives or uses sewerage service from the sewerage facilities

<br /> DES:djk ~9/13/90 (007/09) <br /> DES:djk 9/17/90R <br /> wastewater to be discharged from the commercial, <br /> industrial, or institutional structure to be <br /> connected to the sewerage facilities, in <br /> milligrams per liter as determined by composite <br /> sampling <br /> BODr = average biochemical oxygen demand of waste or <br /> wastewater discharged from residential structures <br /> into the sewerage facilities, in milligrams per <br /> liter (determined to be 300 milligrams per liter); <br /> and <br /> SSi = suspended solids in the waste or wastewater to <br /> be discharged into the sewerage facilities from <br /> the commercial, industrial, or institutional <br /> structure to be connected to said facilities, in <br /> milligrams per liter as determined by composite <br /> sampling. <br /> SSr = average suspended solids per residential <br /> structure discharging waste or wastewater into the <br /> sewerage facilities, in milligrams per liter <br /> (determined to be 300 milligrams per liter) <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, the wastewater treatment <br /> capacity fee for service to any commercial, industrial, <br /> or institutional structure shall be not less than <br /> $192.00. <br /> " (b) Other Fees. No plumbing permit and no building <br />permit involving the installation of plumbing facilities <br />shall be issued by the Building Official until the <br />applicable fees provided in subdivision (a) have been paid <br />or otherwise provided for. <br /> " (c) Additional Fee. In the event the City constructs <br />or causes the construction of any public sewer from monies <br />in the sewer fund or from any general funds of the City <br />(including the proceeds of any bond issue for which the <br />general credit of the City is obligated), an additional fee <br />in the amount of Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($550.00) shall <br />be paid for each connection to that portion of the sewerage <br />facilities so constructed; provided, that in any case where <br /> 7 <br /> .~,-'-~'._._, <br />
