ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING VOLUNTARY WATER CONSERVATION PROGRAM, ENACTING REGULATIONS PROHIBITING CERTAIN USES OF WATER, ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER CONSERVATION LANDSCAPE AND IRRIGATION GUIDELINES: AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 2018 AND 2037 RELATING TO WATER SHORTAGE EMERGENCY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. FINDINGS AND DETERMINATION. The Council of Redwood City hereby finds and determines that: ( a) Pursuant to agreement dated as of August 8, 1984, by and between the City of Redwood City, California, and the City and County of San Francisco, California, the City of Redwood City purchases water for municipal purposes and for resale to customers and users of its water system

<br /> DES:dft '12/93 (021/11) <br /> ¡/20/93R <br /> SECTION 7 . DISCONTINUANCE OF SERVICE. Upon a determination <br />by the Director that a user has consumed water in violation of <br />any of the provisions of Section 4 of this ordinance, the <br />Director may issue an order to cease and desist from such <br />violation, and further order such user to comply forthwith with <br />such provisions or otherwise to take appropriate remedial or <br />preventative action. If, after the issuance of such cease and <br />desist order, such user continues to consume or use, or again <br />consumes or uses water in violation of any such provision the <br />Director may, subject to the provisions for notification and <br />hearing hereinafter set forth, discontinue water service to the <br />premises of such user. <br /> Prior to the discontinuance of water service to any <br />premises, the Director shall give written notice of intention to <br />discontinue such service, and of hearing to be held by the <br />Director upon the question of termination, not less than ten days <br />prior to such hearing. A user determined to be in violation of <br />the provisions of Section 4 of this ordinance, the owner of the <br />premises to which such violation pertains (if the owner is not <br />said user) , and such other persons as the Director may deem <br />appropriate, shall be heard at the hearing on the question of <br />termination. If, upon completion of the hearing, the Director <br />finds that no violation has occurred, the Director shall order <br />that the service shall not be terminated. If, upon completion of <br />the hearing, the Director determines that such violation has <br />occurred, or is occurring, the Director may order the water <br />service to be terminated, or may order that service be terminated <br /> 7 2062 <br /> ~_._--,.- <br />
