Description
ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, as amended, entitled "Sanitary Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Facilities", is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27

<br /> DES:dft 12/17/90 (028/8) <br /> DES:dft 6/11/93R (016/11) <br /> 6/24/93R <br /> 7/22/93R <br /> substance capable of causing obstruction to <br /> the flow in the Sewerage Facilities, or which <br /> in any way interferes with the proper <br /> operation of the Sewerage Facilities; <br /> (f) Containing any Pollutant not otherwise <br /> specifically prohibited in these regulations, <br /> in sufficient quantities to constitute a <br /> hazard to humans or animals, or to create a <br /> hazard to the Sewerage Facilities, or to <br /> injure or interfere with the operation <br /> thereof; <br /> (g) Comprised of any Waste containing suspended <br /> solids, not otherwise specifically prohibited <br /> under the provisions of these regulations, <br /> the characteristics or quantity of which <br /> require or requires unusual attention, <br /> treatment, or expense in handling or treating <br /> in the Sewerage Facilities, or any portion <br /> thereof; <br /> (h) Any Waste streams with a closed cup <br /> flashpoint of less than 1400 Fahrenheit; <br /> (i) Any trucked or hauled Wastes except at points <br /> designated by the Authority or City. <br /> "Section 27.14. Specific User Limitations. Not- <br />withstanding the limitations upon the Wastewater <br />Constituents and Characteristics of Wastewater <br />discharged, caused to be discharged, or permitted to be <br />discharged into the Sewerage Facilities pursuant to <br />this Article, Authority's Manager may, in connection <br />with the issuance of permits pursuant to the provisions <br />of Article IV, establish additional or different <br />specific limitations on Wastewater strength, or deny an <br />application for any such permit, upon a finding by him <br />or her that: <br /> (a) The limitations set forth in this Article may <br /> not be sufficient to protect the operation of <br /> the Sewerage Facilities, or any portion <br /> thereof, or the Waste or Wastewater proposed <br /> 17 <br /> - .... .., ....
