Description
ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, as amended, entitled "Sanitary Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Facilities", is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27

<br /> DES:dft 12/17/90 (028/8) <br /> DES:dft 6/11/93R (016/11) <br /> 6/24/93R <br /> 7/22/93R <br />the strict application of Section 27.51 when all of the <br />following conditions exist: <br />(a) When, in the opinion of the Health Officer of <br /> the City, a Private Sewerage Disposal System <br /> would be adequate and safe for the disposal <br /> of the Waste discharge from such building or <br /> structure and would not constitute a menace <br /> to the public health. An applicant may be <br /> required to submi t any pertinent information <br /> deemed necessary by the Health Officer to the <br /> making of a determination under this <br /> Subsection. The Health Officer may charge <br /> the applicant a reasonable fee for services <br /> rendered under this Subsection, not to exceed <br /> the fee charged by the Health Officer for <br /> comparable services rendered in <br /> unincorporated areas of San Mateo County. <br />(b) When the Building Official finds, that <br /> because of special circumstances applicable <br /> to such building or structure, including its <br /> size, shape, location, surroundings and <br /> topography of the Premises upon which it is <br /> located, the strict application of Section <br /> 27.51 would constitute an undue hardship upon <br /> the owner of such Premises. <br />"Section 27.56.
