Description
ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, as amended, entitled "Sanitary Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Facilities", is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27

Private Systems. <br /> "Section 27.58.1. Private Systems. Any Private <br />Sewage Disposal System permitted pursuant to Section <br />27.55 shall be designed, constructed and maintained in <br />accordance with the procedures set forth in Section <br />27.58.2 through 27.58.5. <br /> "Section 27.58.2. Private System Permit. It <br />shall be unlawful for any Person to construct, alter, <br />repair, maintain, replace, put into use, or cause to be <br />used, any Private Sewage Disposal System, septic tank <br />or cesspool, seepage pit, drainage field or leaching <br />field system within the City without first obtaining a <br />variance from the strict application of Section 27.51 <br />in accordance with the procedure established in Section <br />27.55, and wi thou t then obtaining from the Building <br />Official a written permit to construct, maintain and <br />use such Pri va te Sewerage Disposal Sys tem and payment <br />of a fee by the applicant for such permit in the amount <br />established pursuant to the provisions of Article IX. <br /> "Section 27.58.3.
