Description
ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, as amended, entitled "Sanitary Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Facilities", is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27

Except as hereinafter in (3) provided, every <br /> <br />application for a permit to connect to the Sewerage <br /> <br />Facilities or to a Sewer Lateral required pursuant to <br /> <br />Article VI of this Chapter shall be accompanied by the <br /> <br />applicable Wastewater treatment capacity fee <br /> <br />established by the following schedule: <br /> <br />(1) Residential Structures. <br /> <br />(a) Single Family. For a connection serving a <br />single family residential structure, whether <br />for an original connection or for a <br />reconnection resulting from the construction <br />of a new structure-$418.50. <br /> <br />(b) Duplex. For a connection serving a duplex, <br />or two-family dwelling-$682.00. <br /> <br />(c) Multi-Dwelling Unit Structures. For a <br />connection serving any residential structure <br />or group of residential structures on a <br />building site in one ownership, containing a <br />total of more than two dwelling units-$279.00 <br />per unit. <br /> <br />(2) Commercial, Industrial Structures. <br /> <br />For a connection serving any commercial, <br />industrial, institutional (including schools, <br />hospitals and churches), or other non-residential <br />structure, there shall be charged a Wastewater <br />treatment capacity fee calculated in accordance <br />with the following formula: <br /> <br />Wastewater Treatment <br />Capacity Fee = $418.50 Vi (0.4 + 0.3 BODi + 0.3 SSi) <br />Vr ( BODr SSr) <br />where, <br /> <br />Vi = volume of Waste or Wastewater to be <br />discharged from the commercial, industrial, <br />or institutional structure to be connected to <br />the Sewerage Facilities, in gallons per day; <br /> <br />Vr = average volume of Waste or Wastewater per <br />residential structure, in gallons per day <br />(determined to be 270 gallons per day for <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />64 <br />
