Description
ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING CHAPTER 27 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF SANITARY SEWERAGE AND STORM WATER DRAINAGE FACILITIES THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Chapter 27 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, as amended, entitled "Sanitary Sewerage and Storm Water Drainage Facilities", is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Chapter 27 is hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "CHAPTER 27

<br /> DES:dft 12/17/90 (028/8) <br /> DES:dft 6/11/93R (016/11) <br /> 6/24/93R <br /> 7/22/93R <br /> single family structures, 220 gallons for <br /> duplex structures, and 180 gallons for <br /> multi-family structures). <br /> BODi = biochemical oxygen demand of the Waste or <br /> Wastewater to be discharged from the <br /> commercial, industrial, or institutional <br /> structure to be connected to the Sewerage <br /> Facilities, in milligrams per liter as <br /> determined by composite sampling <br /> BODr = average biochemical oxygen demand of Waste or <br /> Wastewater discharged from residential <br /> structures into the Sewerage Facilities, in <br /> milligrams per liter (determined to be 300 <br /> milligrams per liter); and <br /> SSi = suspended solids in the Waste or Wastewater <br /> to be discharged into the Sewerage Facilities <br /> from the commercial, industrial, or <br /> institutional structure to be connected to <br /> said facilities, in milligrams per liter as <br /> determined by composite sampling. <br /> SSr = average suspended solids per residential <br /> structure discharging Waste or Wastewater <br /> into the sewerage facilities, in milligrams <br /> per liter (determined to be 300 milligrams <br /> per liter). <br /> Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Wastewater <br /> treatment capacity fee for service to any <br /> commercial, industrial, or institutional <br /> structure shall be not less than $418.50. <br /> (3) Exclusions. <br /> (i) The foregoing fee shall not be applicable to <br /> connections to the Sewerage Facilities or to a <br /> Sewer Lateral with respect to which sewerage <br /> treatment capacity included within City's <br /> allocation of 11.4 million gallons per day flow in <br /> Authority's treatment facilities has been <br /> purchased pursuant to agreement entered into <br /> between the City and the owner of the property to <br /> be served by such capacity or with respect to <br /> which sewerage treatment capacity has been <br /> otherwise purchased or provided by, or on behalf <br /> of, such owner, as determined by City's Director. <br /> (ii) The foregoing fee shall not be applicable to <br /> connections made to public sewers maintained by <br /> the West Bay Sanitary District or the Fair Oaks <br /> 65 <br /> .'. ._._.....".,._"--,_...._-,..".,,'~_.,,...,_._,-_. ."... _._--"-_.'~._..."---_.....-"."--,._,.'-,,.,,-~._~_._-_....'-,...._.,._,,------_._--_.~- <br />
