The Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Mateo, California, is hereby requested, pursuant to the <br />provisions of Government Code Section 36503.5(a)(1), to approve <br />this ordinance, and upon adoption hereof the City Clerk is hereby <br />directed to transmit a certified copy of this ordinance to said <br />Board for the purpose of said approval. <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. Ordinance No. 2020, entitled, "Ordinance <br />Requiring General Municipal Election To Be Held On The Same Day <br />As Statewide General Elections, Commencing In November, 1992, And <br />Requesting Approval Thereof By The Board Of Supervisors Of The <br />County Of San Mateo", adopted July 9, 1990, is hereby repealed~ <br />and in so repealing said ordinance, this Council hereby finds and <br />declares that at least one election was held pursuant to said <br />ordinance prior to said repeal. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 16 of the <br />Charter of the City of Redwood City this ordinance shall be <br />effective upon the date of its adoption; provided, however, that <br />this ordinance shall be operative upon approval thereof by the <br />Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo following the <br />adoption hereof. <br /> <br /> 2 2078 <br /> <br /> <br />
