ORDINANCE NO. 2088 ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT ("TSM") PROGRAM IN THE CITY OF REWOOD CITY; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1991 THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. FINDINGS. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby finds and determines that: (a) A significant increase in traffic has occurred in the City of Redwood City, the surrounding area and regionally, and the trend is anticipated to continue in the future. DES:djk C '04/95 (028/9) <br /> <br /> SECTION 5. TSM REQUIREMENTS. (a) Each employer within San <br />Mateo County subject to the Bay Area Air Quality Management <br />District's (BAAQMD) Regulation 13, Rule 1 (regional employer- <br />based trip-reduction rule) shall conform to the employer-based <br />trip-reduction program requirements established and enforced by <br />the BAAQMD. <br /> <br /> (b) Each employer of 25 or more employees, and every <br />sponsor of 25 or more employees, is encouraged to distribute to <br />its employees on a regular basis, commute alternatives <br />information on ridesharing, transit, bicycling, etc.; and to <br />participate when possible in programs, sponsored by the Joint <br />Powers Authority, that may contribute to the reduction of single <br />occupant vehicle commute trips. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6. Ordinance No. 1991 entitled, "Ordinance <br />Establishing a Transportation System Management ('TSM') Program <br />in the City of Redwood City", adopted April 3, 1989, is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be <br />effective 30 days after its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
