DES :djk ~8/30/95 (034/9) DES :djk_ 9/15/95R NOW, THEREFORE; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The foregoing recitals are, and each of them is, true and correct and the Council so determines. SECTION 2. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby finds and determines that the public necessity, health, safety and welfare require the establishment of an underground utility district to accomplish the purposes set forth in Resolution No. 12596, adopted August 28, 1995, by said Council, within the area described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and this Council hereby further finds and determines that each and all of the following specific matters in furtherance of the general public interest exist with relation to said underground utility district: (a) Such undergrounding will avoid or eliminate a heavy concentration of overhead electric facilities. (b) The streets, roads, alleys, or ways in the district are extensively used by the general public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. SECTION 3. Said district is hereby established and declared formed, and designated as "UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1995-1". SECTION 4. The boundaries of the district are hereby fixed and determined as set forth and described in Exhibit A. Reference is hereby made to the map of said district boundaries as depicted on Exhibit "B" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, for a general description of the district.
