ORIGINAL 11/27/95 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2102 <br /> ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF <br /> CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; <br /> ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO <br /> THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS <br /> FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE <br /> FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 <br /> EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 <br /> EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; <br /> "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE <br /> UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE <br /> NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" <br /> "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Articles IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII of Chapter 9 of the Code of <br /> the City of Redwood City are hereby repealed. <br /> SECTION 2. Article IV of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City is hereby added to read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.40. (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br /> Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br /> the following codes, standards and regulations are hereby adopted and shall be <br /> in effect with the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full <br /> herein, except as expressly amended by the provisions of this article: <br /> "(1) The Uniform Building Code, Volumes 1, 2, and 3, 1994 Edition, as <br /> published by the International Conference of Building Officials. Chapter 4, <br /> Division I, Chapter 15, Chapter 18, Chapter 31, Divisions II and III, and <br /> Chapter 33 of the Appendix of Volume 1 are specifically adopted and shall <br /> be enforceable to the same extent as if contained in the body of said <br /> ORD-001 1 <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 10/23/95 <br /> 11/13/95R <br />
