ORDINANCE NO. 2102 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

The remainder of the Appendix is not adopted and shall not be a <br /> part of said Code. <br /> "(2) The Uniform Building Security Code, 1994 Edition, as published by <br /> the International Conference of Building Officials. <br /> "(b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform <br /> Building Code, 1994 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the building code, and the <br /> provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall apply." <br /> "Section 9.41. Section 105 of the Building Code is hereby deleted and <br /> shall have no force or effect in the City." <br /> "Section 9.42. Section 107.2 of the Building Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "`Section 107.2. Permit Fees and Valuation of Work. <br /> "Section 107.2 Building Fees. The Building Official shall charge <br /> a fee to the person filing an application for such permit, such fee to be <br /> established by resolution of the Council. <br /> "`Section 107.2.2. Valuation of Work. The determination of value <br /> or valuation under any of the provisions of this code shall be made by the <br /> Building Official. The value to be used in computing the building permit <br /> and building plan review fees shall be the total value of all construction <br /> work for which the permit is issued as well as all finish work, painting, <br /> roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, elevators, fire <br /> extinguishing systems and any other permanent equipment. <br /> ORD-001 2 <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 10/23/95 <br /> 11/13/95R <br />
