ORDINANCE NO. 2102 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

nuisances and shall be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal in <br /> accordance with the procedure specified in Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of <br /> the City of Redwood City." <br /> "Section 9.62. Section 203 of the Housing Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "`Section 203. The Building Inspector is hereby authorized and <br /> empowered to designate representatives of the San Mateo County Department <br /> of Health to act as representatives in investigating violations of, and enforcing <br /> any provision of, the code relating to inadequate light, air, or sanitation facilities, <br /> or any other matter determined by the health officer as likely to cause a building <br /> to be unsanitary, unfit for human habitation or in such a condition that is likely to <br /> cause sickness or disease. When so designated, such representatives shall <br /> have the same powers and duties as the Building Inspector. All references in the <br /> code to the `Health Officer' shall be construed to be references to <br /> representatives of the above-mentioned Department of Health." <br /> "Section 9.63. Chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of the Housing Code <br /> are hereby deleted and shall have no force and effect in the City." <br /> "Section 9.64 - 9.69. Reserved." <br /> SECTION 4.
