ORDINANCE NO. 2102 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

shall be collected and discharged to a storm sewer or other approved points of <br /> disposal acceptable to the Building Official. <br /> Termination of such drains shall be made by an air break. Condensate <br /> drain lines in sizes 1 1/4" and larger shall be assembled using approved <br /> drainage pipe and fittings. Condensate waste water shall not drain over or upon <br /> a public way, sidewalk, pedestrian ramp, or the like. Condensate drains with <br /> terminations within the interior of a building shall not be connected to the building <br /> roof drain or overflow piping systems. <br /> "Section 9.73 - 9.79. Reserved." <br /> SECTION 5. Article VII of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br /> added to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE VII. PLUMBING CODE <br /> "Section 9.80. (a) Pursuant to Section 50022.1 et seq., of the <br /> Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br /> the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1994 Edition, as published by the International <br /> Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is hereby adopted and shall be <br /> in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full <br /> herein except as expressly amended by the provisions of this article. <br /> Appendices A, B, D, E, H, and I thereto are specifically adopted and shall be <br /> enforceable to the same extent as if contained in the body of said code. <br /> ORD-001 17 <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 10/23/95 <br /> 11/13/95R <br />
