ORDINANCE NO. 2102 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, AND VIII OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1994 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1994 EDITION"; AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1993 EDITION" "ARTICLE IV. The inlet and outlet connections shall be made by the use of a flexible <br /> compression joint no closer than twelve (12) inches (0.3 m) to, and not farther <br /> than three (3) feet (0.9 m) from the manhole. No flexible compression joints <br /> shall be embedded in the manhole base. <br /> "Section 719.7. Cleanouts shall be installed at the property line where <br /> the private sewer system connects to the publicly-maintained sanitary sewer <br /> lateral. All such line cleanouts shall be extended to grade with materials and <br /> according to specifications approved by the Administrative Authority and <br /> terminate within a concrete box." <br /> "Section 9.88. Section 807.2 of the Plumbing Code is amended to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "Section 807.2. Condensate from air-cooling coils and comfort cooling <br /> equipment not intended to be used for the storage or holding of food or drinks <br /> shall be collected and discharged to a storm sewer or other approved points of <br /> disposal acceptable to the Administrative Authority. <br /> Termination of such drains shall be made by an air break. Condensate <br /> drain lines in sizes 1 1/4" and larger shall be assembled using approved <br /> drainage pipe and fittings. Condensate wastewater shall not drain over or upon <br /> a public way, sidewalk, pedestrian ramp or the like. Condensate drains within <br /> the interior of a building shall not be connected to the building roof drain or <br /> overflow piping systems.
