ORDINANCE NO. 2138 ORDINANCE EXTENDING URGENCY INTERIM ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE "TP" (TIDAL PLAIN) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTIES LOCATED BETWEEN THE LIDO NEIGHBORHOOD SPECIFIC PLAN AREA AND BAY SLOUGH AND PROPERTIES WITHIN "AREA H" IN THE REDWOOD SHORES AREA OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY The Council of Redwood City does ordain as follows: Section 1. This Council finds that: A. Pursuant to Resolution No. 12023 adopted July 26, 1993, by this Council, the Lido Neighborhood Specific Plan was adopted

Plain) Zoning District classification, as shown on Exhibit "A" hereof, attached <br />hereto and by this reference incorporated herein (the "TP Zoned Properties"); <br /> <br /> E. The TP Zoning District classification allows, as permitted uses, <br />agriculture, extraction of chemicals from sea water by natural evaporation and <br />extraction of oyster shells, or other deposits from San Francisco Bay, and public <br />parks and recreation areas or facilities; <br /> <br /> F. The TP Zoning District classification also allows, as conditionally <br />permitted uses, uses which are, or may be, incompatible with the residential and <br />commercial development allowed for the Lido Area, including, but not limited to, <br />outdoor theaters, airports, race tracks, and exposition grounds, dirt, gravel, rock <br />or fill businesses, public or private sewage disposal plants, or the production of <br />fertilizer therefrom, equipment or materials storage or salvage yards, petroleum <br />or inflammable liquid storage, explosive storage or testing, sanitary landfill <br />operations, refuse or garbage disposal, and warehouses and storage buildings; <br /> <br /> G. Said incompatibilities or potential incompatibilities likewise pertain <br />to the residential development lying generally southwesterly of the Lido Area <br />within the Redwood Shores Area of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br /> H. Inquiries have been made of the City's Department of Community <br />Development regarding potential developments within the TP Zoned Properties; <br /> <br /> I. In view of the foregoing, General Plan, Specific Plan, and zoning <br /> <br />proposals are being contemplated for the TP Zoned Properties which would <br />allow uses of said Properties compatible with lands in the vicinity thereof, <br />including the Lido Area; <br /> <br />Ord-025 2 <br />F:lsharedlredwoodlcouncil <br />DES:rg <br />02/12/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
