ORDINANCE NO. 2153 ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 18.234 THROUGH 18.243 TO CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO LOCAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS The Council of the City of Redwood City does ordain as follows: Section 1. Sections 18234 through 18243 are hereby added to the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: "Article XlV. LOCAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS Section 18.234 PURPOSE: The purpose of this Article is to provide for the planned extension and repair of utility and street improvements upon the construction

Section 18.242 UNDERGROUND UTILITIES: Upon the construction of a New <br />Commercial Building, the electrical, telephone, and Cable TV lines shall be installed <br />underground along the Street Frontage as well as on the Subject Property. Upon the <br />remodeling of a Commercial Building, the estimated cost of which exceeds $100,000, <br />as determined by the Building Official, the electrical, telephone, and Cable TV lines <br />shall be installed underground along the frontage as well as on the Subject Property. <br /> <br /> Section 18.243 PERMITS REQUIRED: Any work performed in the public right- <br />of-way due to this Ordinance will require that a permit be issued by Engineering and <br />Construction. Plans for the improvements must be submitted and approved by the City <br />before the permit is issued." <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> -5- 2153 <br /> <br /> <br />
