ORDINANCE NO. 2162 ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 18C TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE DISPLAY OF ADULT MATERIALS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A. 'Adult Material' means all material that is defined as 'harmful matter,' <br />in Section 313(a) of the California Penal Code. <br /> <br /> B. 'Commercial Establishment' means any place of business in which <br />minors are permitted. <br /> <br /> C. 'Display' means exhibiting or exposing adult material knowingly so <br />that it is within open view of patrons, invitees, and visitors to the premises where <br />such material is located, except in a public place where minors ara excluded, <br />and except where devices commonly known as blinder racks, or blinders, are <br />place in front of such material so that the lower two-third of the material is not <br />exposed to view. <br /> <br /> D. 'Exhibit' means to show. <br /> <br /> E. 'Knowingly' means being aware of the character of the matter. <br /> <br /> F. 'Material' or 'Matter' means any book, magazine, newspaper, video <br />recording, or other printed or written material, or any picture, drawing, <br />photograph, motion picture, or other pictorial representation. <br /> <br /> G. 'Minor' means any natural person under 18 years of age. <br /> <br /> H. 'Person' means any individual, partnership, firm, association, <br />corporation, limited liability company, or other legal entity. <br /> <br /> Sec. 18C.2.
