7/12/99 <br /> ORISINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2165 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, VIII AND <br /> ARTICLE IX, DIVISIONS I AND 2 OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES <br /> IV, v, vi, vii, viii AND ARTICLE IX, DIVISIONS I AND 2 OF <br /> CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND <br /> STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE <br /> THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE <br /> 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, <br /> 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1997 <br /> EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1997 <br /> EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1997 EDITION"; <br /> "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1996 EDITION"; AND <br /> "THE UNIFORM CODE FOR BUILDING CONSERVATION, 1997 <br /> EDITION" <br /> <br /> "ARTICLE IV. BUILDING CODES" <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Articles IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX, Divisions 1 and 2 of <br />Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Article IV of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby added to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 9.40. Adoption by Reference; Conflicting Provisions: (a) <br />Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seq., of the Government Code and Section 15 of <br />the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the following codes, standards and <br />regulations are hereby adopted and shall be in effect with the City of Redwood <br />City to the same extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly amended <br />by the provisions of this article: <br /> <br />ORD-001 <br />FXS:jtl:mkc <br />6/1/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
