ORDINANCE NO. 2165 ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, VIII AND ARTICLE IX, DIVISIONS I AND 2 OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, v, vi, vii, viii AND ARTICLE IX, DIVISIONS I AND 2 OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1997 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1997 EDITION"; "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1996 EDITION"; AND "THE UNIFORM CODE FOR BUILDING CONSERVATION, 1997 EDITION

"(1) The Uniform Building Code, Volumes 1, 2, and 3, 1997 Edition, as <br /> published by the International Conference of Building Officials. Appendix <br /> to Chapter 3, Division II; Chapter 4, Division I, Chapter 15, Chapter 18, <br /> Chapter 31, Divisions II and III, Chapter 33, and Chapter 34, Division III, <br /> are specifically adopted and shall be enforceable to the same extent as if <br /> contained in the body of said code. The remainder of the Appendix is not <br /> adopted and shall not be a part of said Code. <br /> <br /> "(2) The Uniform Building Security Code, 1997 Edition, as published by <br /> the International Conference of Building Officials." <br /> <br /> "(3) The Uniform Code for Building Conservation, 1997 Edition, as <br /> published by the International Conference of Building Officials." <br /> <br /> "(b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform <br /> Building Code, 1997 Edition, hereinafter referred to as the building code, <br /> and the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall <br /> apply." <br /> <br /> "Section 9.41, Section 105 of Building Code deleted: Section 105 of the <br />Building Code is hereby deleted and shall have no force or effect in the City." <br /> <br /> "Section 9.42, Section 107.2 of Building Code amended: Section 107.2 <br />of the Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "'Section '107.2. Permit Fees and Valuation of Work. <br /> <br /> "Section 107.2 Building Fees.
