Section 2602.5.3 of Building Code amended: Section <br />2602.5.3 of the Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2602.5.3 RoofinR. Foam plastic insulation meeting the <br />requirements of Sections 2602.2, 2602.3, and 2602.4 may be used as part of a <br />roof-covering assembly; provided, that the assembly with the foam plastic <br />insulation is a Class A or B roof assembly when tested in accordance with U.B.C. <br />Standard No. 15-2. Foam plastic insulation which is a Part of a Class A or B <br />roof-covering assembly need not meet with requirements of Sections 2602.2, <br />2602.3, and 2602.4; provided, that the assembly with the foam plastic insulation <br />satisfactorily passes the test for insulated roof decks. <br /> <br /> Any roofing assembly installed in accordance with this code and the <br />manufacturer's instructions may be applied over foam plastic insulation when the <br />foam is separated from the interior of the building by wood structural panel <br />sheathing not less than one-half inch (1/2") in thickness bonded with exterior <br />glue, with edges supported by blocking, tongue-and-groove joints or other <br />approved type of edge support, or an equivalent material.
