JUL 14 1980 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 4.15, 4.17, 4.18, 4.19, 4.21, AND 4.24 OF, ADDING SECTIONS 4.22, 4.25, 4.26 AND 4.27 TO, AND REPEALING SECTION 4.22 OF, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF PUBLIC DANCES IN REDWOOD CITY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 4.15 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 4.15. It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct or operate a public dance, to permit dancing by the public in any establishment operated by such person and open to the general public or to sell tickets for any public dance unless either a public dance permit or a yearly public dance

<br />SECTION 9. Section 4.25 is hereby added to the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />"Section 4.25. No permit shall be transferable." <br />SECTION 10. Section 4.26 is hereby added to the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />"Section 4.26. The Chief of Police may terminate a <br />public dance if it is determined that any conditions of a <br />permit are being violated or that any of the provisions of <br />Section 4.19 are being violated by continued operation of a <br />public dance or that any law, ordinance or regulation is <br />being violated by such continued operation." <br />SECTION 11. Section 4.27 is hereby added to the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />"Section 4.27. A public dance shall be open to <br />inspection by the Chief of Police or members of the Police <br />Department at all times so that it may be determined whether <br />the public dance is being operated in compliance with the <br />permit, the provisions of Section 4.19, and all laws, <br />ordinances and regulations. " <br />SECTION 12. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br />its adoption. <br /> * * * <br /> -5- 1823 <br /> .--...- <br />
