1 8 4 9 11/S/81R AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; AND ADDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 12 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION; AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE "UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1979 EDITION, " AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS AND THE WESTERN FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Article II (commencing at 12.7) of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repea1~d. SECTION 2. <br />of use of property, which shall or may result from or be caused <br />by the operation proposed to be permitt~d, or any negligence <br />on the part of the applicant, or the -applicant's agents,. servants, <br />or employees in conducting_such operation, or a certificate <br />evidencing the carrying of appropriate public liability insurance <br />for the benefit of the applicant and the applicant's agents, <br />servants and employees as evidence~of ability. to respond in' <br />damages in at least such amount, said insur.ance.likewise to be <br />approved by the City. The minimum amounts of coverage of such bond <br />or insurance. shall be as follows: (1) for personal injury or <br />death.:- $100,000 for each person and.$300,OOO. for each occurrence; - <br />(2) for property damage: $50,000 aggregate; provided, however, <br />that the Chief may require greater amounts of coverage where the <br />circumstances, in the opinion of the _Chie£, invo~ve greater-than <br />ordinary' risk --to person or property. <br /> " , (e) Applications for temporary fireworks sales permits <br />shall be made;to, the Fire.Departmen±--on or before the l5th.~day <br />of Juneo£ the year £Drwhich.applicationto sell is made.; At <br />the time_of the application, the.applicant.for such permit <br />permitting·sale-s at retail.-shall deposit-with the City Collector- <br />the sum of $SOwhich,swn shall be refunded to the appli-cant- <br />upon (1) denial of the application, or (2) compliance with the <br />provisions of subsection (.g) (6) hereof_relating to the Iemov~l <br />of unsold stock, litter, and structures.
