NOV 23 1981 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.2 AND 9.5 OF, REPEALING ARTICLES III, V, AND VI OF CHAPTER 9 OF, RENUMBERING ARTICLE IV, VII, VIII, IX, AND X OF CHAPTER 9 OF, AND ADDING ARTICLES IV AND V TO CHAPTER 9 OF, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDING, AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF PÆDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: THE "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1979 EDITION, " AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FOURTH PRINTING), THE "UNIFORH BUILDING CODE 1979 EDITION, STANDARDS, " AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (SECOND PRINTING); AND THE "UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1979 EDITION, " AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FIRST PRINTING) THIS COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. Section 9.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood . City is hereby amended to read as follows

<br /> six months so as to constitute such building or portion <br /> thereof an attractive nuisance or hazard to the public.'" <br />" (b) A fire hazard shall mean any condition, arrangement or <br />act which will increase or may cause an increase of the hazard <br />or menace of fire to a greater degree than that customarily <br />recognized as normal by persons in the public service of preventing, <br />suppressing or extinquishing fire, or which may obstruct, delay or <br />hinder, or may become the cause of obstruction, delay or hindrance <br />to the prevention, suppression or extinquishment of fire. " <br />SECTION 3. Articles III (commencing with §9.16), V (commencing <br />with §9..40), and VI (commencing with §9.60) of Chapter 9 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4. Article IV (commencing with the title) of Chapter 9 <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby renumbered to <br />read as follows: <br /> "Article III. MOVING BUILDINGS. " <br />SECTION 5. Article VII (commencing with the title) of Chapter <br />9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby renumbered to <br />read as follows: <br /> "Article VI. MECHANICAL CODE." <br />SECTION 6. Article VIII (commencing with the title) of Chapter <br />9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby renumbered to <br />read as follows: <br /> "Article VII. PLUMBING CODE." <br />SECTION 7. Article IX (commencing with the title) of Chapter <br />9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby renumbered to <br />read as follows: <br /> "Article VIII. ELECTRICAL CODE." <br />SECTION 8 . Article X (commencing with the title) of Chapter <br />9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby renumbered to <br />read as follows: <br /> "Article IX. SEISMIC REQUIREMENTS." <br />SECTION 9. Article IV is hereby added to Chapter 9 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> -4- <br /> --". <br />
