for appeal shall state the grounds upon which the appeal lS being made and shall be accompanied by any supporting informa- tion the appellant desires to be considered in connection with the appeal. The written request for appeal shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) . Upon filing a request for appeal, the City Clerk shall glve notice of such appeal to the officer or employee of the City whose determination, decision or action is being appealed, and shall notify such officer or employee of the time and place of the hearing thereon. The City Clerk shall, in every case, notify the Director of Public Works of such appeal upon receipt of a request therefor. A public hearing shall be held upon the appeal. Notice of such hearing shall be given, to the extent not inconsistent here- with, in accordance with the provisions of Article 49 of the Zoning Ordinance. The City Council may affirm, reverse or modify the decision, determination or action being appealed if it determines the public interest will be served by such affirmance, reversal or modifica- tion, and if it determines that the prerequisites required by Section 41.17 have been met, if applicable. The Council may, pending final determination of any appeal, require the Director of Public Works, or any administrative official, to submit his recommendations to the Council. The determination on an appeal by the city Council shall be final. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its -~.~--~_.----~- adoption. -10-
