1 871 OR\G\NI\L ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE VII TO CHAPTER 32 OF THE REDWOOD CITY CODE ESTABLISHING A UTILITY USERS TAX; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF, PENALTIES FOR NON-PAYMENT AND DELINQUENCY THEREOF, REMEDIES, AND ENFORCEMENT PERTAINING THERETO THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. In such event the Director shall give written <br /> notice to the service user and the service supplier that the <br /> Director has assumed the responsibility to collect the taxes <br /> due for the stated periods and demand payment by such service <br /> user of such taxes, penalties and interest as may be due. The <br /> aforesaid notices shall be served personally or by depositing <br /> said notices with the United States mail service, postage <br /> prepaid, addressed to the service user at the address to which <br /> billing was made by the service supplier required to collect <br /> the tax, or to said service user's last known address, and to <br /> the service supplier's address on file with the Director. <br /> "Section 32.514. Appeals. Any person aggrieved by any <br /> decision of the Director pursuant to this Article may appeal <br /> said decision to the City Council by filing a notice of appeal <br /> with the City Clerk within ten (10) days of service of the <br /> Director's decision. The City Clerk shall set a time and place <br /> for hearing such appeal. The Clerk shall give written notice <br /> thereof to such person by personal service or by depositing <br /> said notice with the United States mail service, postage <br /> prepaid, addressed to such person at his or her last known <br /> address.
