<br /> St.IC: rb 9/12/83 <br /> I ..::rb 9/19/83R <br /> .. <br /> SWC:rb 10/06/83R <br /> SWC:rb lO/lO/83R <br />the application is made, the City Council shall investigate and <br />consider: <br /> " (a) The demand of the public for additional taxicab <br /> service. <br /> " (b) The adequacy of the existing taxicab service. <br /> " (c) The effect which additional taxicab service or <br /> public transportation vehicle service may have on <br /> traffic congestion and parking and whether it will <br /> result in a greater hazard to the public. <br /> " (d) The ability of the applicant to comply within the <br /> operating requirements of this chapter. <br /> "Section 33.7. If the City Council shall, by <br />resolution, declare that public convenience and necessity require <br />any additional taxicab service, a certificate to that effect <br />shall be issued to the owner, setting forth the maximum number of <br />taxicabs to be permitted thereunder. <br /> "The City Clerk shall issue a permit for each separate <br />taxicab authorized by a certificate of public convenience and <br />necessity upon payment of a permit fee in an amount to be <br />established by resolution. Such permit shall contain the owner's <br />name and fictitious business name, vehicle identification number, <br />vehicle license number and passenger seating capacity. <br /> "Section 33.8. If an owner sells or transfers title to <br />a taxicab for which a permit has been issued pursuant to a <br />certificate granted under the provisions of this article, the <br />owner to whom such permit and certificate had been issued <br />therefor, shall surrender such permit to the City Clerk; <br /> 4 <br /> 1881 <br /> '- -~...._'- <br />
