Issuance of Citation. It shall be <br />the duty of each police officer or parking enforcement <br />deputy to take the designated name or description of the <br />regulated unmetered parking facility at which any vehicle is <br />parked without a permit, as provided in Section 20.186; the <br />state vehicle license of such vehicle; the time and date of <br />such parking without a permit, and make of such vehicle; and <br />issue, in writing, a citation for illegal parking in the <br />same form and subject to the same procedure provided for by <br />the laws of the state applicable to the traffic violations <br />within the City. <br /> "Section 20.190. Payment of Fine to Avoid Prosecution. <br />Any operator or owner of a vehicle to whom a citation has <br />been issued in accordance with the preceding section may, <br />within fifteen (15) days of the time of the issuance of such <br />citation, pay to the appropriate court, as a penalty for and <br />full consideration of such violation, the sum of five <br />dollars ($5.00) plus applicable surcharges established by <br />resolution.
