JAN 9 1984 ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 12.18.5 AND 12.18.6 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE AND MATERIALS THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Sec~on 12.18.5 is hereby added to the Code of the " City of Redwood City to read as follows: "Section 79.101 of the fire code is hereby amended to read as ~. follows: Section 79.101. ( a) General. The storage, use, dispensing and mixing of flammable and combustible liquids shall be in accordance with this article, except as otherwise provided in other laws or regulations

No person shall operate any vehicle transporting <br /> any hazardous materials unless at the time of such transportation there are <br /> affixed to both sides, the front and the rea r of the vehicle placards <br /> and identification numbers in conformity with Title 49, Code of Federal <br /> Regulations, 1981. <br /> ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS AND PRESSURE VESSELS <br /> Sec. 80.112. <br /> (a) All aboveground storage tanks, pressure vessels and containers over <br /> 100 gallons (rated water capacity) which are permanently installed, mounted or <br /> affixed and used for the storage of flammable and combustible liquids, <br /> compressed gases, or hazardous chemicals regulated by this Article, shall be <br /> identified in accordance with U.F.C. Standard No. 79-3. <br /> Labels shall conform with U.F.C. Standard No. 79-3 for size and color and <br /> shall be affixed to tank, vessel or container so as to be conspicuously <br /> visible at all times. <br /> (b) When any tank covered in this Article is housed within a building, <br /> the building shall have the same hazard identification label in a conspicuous <br /> location on the exterior of the building. <br /> ,- <br /> .. <br /> (22) <br /> _... -"'~ <br />
