ORIGINAL <br /> --------- - <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH WESTPORT INVESTMENTS (GID <br /> 1-64) ; AND MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT THERETO <br /> WHEREAS, Government Code Sections 65864-65869.5 authorize <br />cities to enter into binding development agreements with persons <br />having legal or equitable interests in real property for the <br />development of such property; and <br /> WHEREAS, Westport Investments ("Westport" ) is the owner of <br />approximately 84.286 acres of vacant land (the "Property" ) <br />described as Parcels A and B of Parcel Map No. 84-6, located <br />within the City of Redwood City ("City") and General Improvement <br />District No. 1-64 ("District"), which it proposes to develop, and <br />to enter into a development agreement ( "Agreemen t " ) with City for <br />such development ("the Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report ("EIR") for the <br />Project entitled "Proposed Amendment of the General Plan for <br />Parkwood 101, Ltd. Properties" was certified by the Planning <br />Commission on November 4, 1975, which ErR was supplemented by a <br />Soils Report dated September 16, 1983 and a Traffic Study dated <br />September 14, 1983, both of which studies were accepted and <br />approved by the Planning Commission on December 6, 1983; and <br /> WHEREAS, the EIR along with the two supplemental reports and <br />an additional Traffic Study prepared by Barton-Aschman <br />Associates, dated March 13, 1985, have been reviewed by this <br />Council in its review of the proposed Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after noticed public <br />hearing, has found that the proposed Agreement is consistent with <br /> 191 7 <br /> - <br /> - ....~-",. .,'"' <br />
