SWC:sh 7/26/85
(d) Changes or alterations have been required in, or
incorporated into the Project by the Agreement which mitigate or
avoid the significant environmental effects of the Project as
follows ( page references are to the draft EIR unless otherwise
indicated.) :
(1 ) Air quality impacts associated with the Project
shall be mitigated and reduced to an acceptable
level by using dust control measures during
construction. (p.121)
(2 ) Hydrological impacts will be reduced to an
acceptable level, because the pond habitat
referred to in the EIR has been donated to the
State for preservation purposes. (p.127)
(3 ) Water quality impacts referred to in the EIR will
be mitigated in accordance with the Soils Study
prepared September 16, 1983. Water runoff from
the site will drain into Belmont Slough, as per
the recommendation of the Redwood City Department
of Public Works. (p.128)
(4 ) Biological/ecological impacts have been reduced to
an acceptable level because the salt-marsh pond
area has been donated to the State, and will be
preserved from disturbance by the Project. (p.129)
(5 ) Noise impacts can and shall be reduced to an
acceptable level by restriction on the routes of
trucks hauling fill to the site, by restricting
construction operations to daylight hours, and by
requiring extensive landscaping as a noise buffer.
(pp.132-134)
( 6) Impacts relating to public services, facilities
and finance will be mitigated through the proposed
Agreement, pursuant to which the developer has
paid certain Facilities Fees for financing
construction of certain public improvements
without the necessity of incurring GID 1-64 bonded
indebtedness. (p.135)
(7 ) Impacts relating to fire services will be reduced
to acceptable levels by implementation of those
measures listed on pp. 138-139, including the
installation of sprinklers in all buildings.
3
1917
-. ....'~.... - '"'
