DCB:sh 8/21/85 <br /> DES:sh 9/16/B5R <br /> ORIGI NAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1921 <br /> OCT 1 4 1985 <br /> --------- <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING DIVISION 10 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION <br /> 20.200) TO ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF THE <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL PERMIT <br /> PARKING <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Division 10 (Commencing with Section 20.200) of <br /> Article VII of Chapter 20 is hereby added to Chapter 20 of the <br /> Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> Division 10 - Residential Permit Parking <br /> "Section 20.200. Definitions. For the purposes of <br /> this Division the following words and phrases shall have the <br /> meanings respectively ascribed to them: <br /> (a) "Director" means the Director of Finance. <br /> (b) "Motor Vehicle" means an automobile, truck, trailer, <br /> house car, motorcycle, or other motor driven device for <br /> transportation, not in excess of six thousand (6,000) <br /> pounds gross weight. <br /> (c) "Owner" means a person who has an ownership interest in <br /> a parcel of real property wi thin a Residential Permit <br /> Parking Area designated pursuant to this division. <br /> (d) "Resident" is a person who lives in a Residential <br /> Permit Parking Area as his/her permanent place of <br /> residence, either as a tenant or owner. <br /> (e) "Residential Parking Permit" means a permit issued <br /> pursuant to section 20.201 hereof. <br /> (f) "Residential Permit Parking Area" means a residential <br /> area designated as provided in this division wherein <br /> vehicles displaying a valid permit issued pursuant to <br /> this division shall be exempt from the parking time <br /> restrictions established in Section 20.208. <br /> (g) "Temporary Permit" shall mean a permit issued pursuant <br /> to this division which is valid for a maximum of 24 <br /> hours. <br /> 1921 <br /> _. ....--~.. - <br />
