<br /> SvlC: sr 1/08/87 (#5) <br /> SWC:s 1/12/87R (# 5) <br /> ('i ') I G I'\JA[ <br /> 1946 \.1; \ i J I ! <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1946 JAN 26 1987 <br /> --------- - - <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 23.2 AND 23.7 OF THE CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO POSITION <br />CLASSIFICATIONS AND SELECTION PROCEDURES <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 23.2 of the Redwood City Code is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 23.2. Scope of Chapter. The provisions of <br />this Chapter, and the competitive service or merit system <br />established and administered hereunder, shall apply to all <br />offices, positions and employment in the service of the City <br />except the following, to which said provisions, service, or <br />system shall not apply except, and to the extent otherwise, <br />or to the contrary, expressly provided: <br /> "(a) Elective offices or positions. <br /> " (b) Positions of appointive boards, commissions <br /> and committees. <br /> " (c) The positions of: <br /> City Manager <br /> Assistant City Manager <br /> Assistant to the City Manager <br /> Director of Human Resources/Personnel <br /> Secretary to the City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Assistant City Attorney <br /> Finance Director (holding consolidated <br /> offices of City Auditor, City <br /> Assessor, City Treasurer, and <br /> City Collector) <br /> City Clerk <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> City Engineer <br /> Fire Chief <br /> Police Chief <br /> Library Director <br /> General Services Director <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community <br /> Services Director <br /> 1946 <br /> -~.._._---~., . - --- <br />
