(b) Extensions. Applications for extensions of time <br />to submit an engineering report made pursuant to (a) (i) <br />above, shall be made in writing to the Building Official who <br />shall respond thereto in writing within ten (10 ) days of <br />receipt of the application. Any owner of an unreinforced <br />masonry building aggrieved by the decision of the Building <br />Official with respect to such application may appeal the <br />decision of the Building Official to the Board of Building <br />Review by filing a written notice of appeal with the <br />Building Official within ten (10) days of the date of the <br />written decision of the Building Official. The Board of <br />Building Review shall hold a hearing on the appeal within <br />thirty (30 ) days of the date of filing of the notice of <br />appeal, provided that the hearing may be held upon such <br />other date as to which the Building Official and the <br />appellant may stipulate. All decisions of the Board of <br />Building Review upon appeal shall be final and conclusive. <br /> "Section 9.146. Letters of Intent. Every owner of an <br />unrein forced masonry building for which an engineering <br />report shall be prepared shall, within ninety (90) days <br />following submittal of such report, submit to the Building <br />Official a letter of intent which shall describe in general <br />fashion the action or actions which said owner intends to <br />take to reduce the hazards to persons and property by reason <br />of earthquake posed by the building or buildings described <br /> 11 <br /> 2004 <br />- - -,,---'_.," -,~...--..-- ~ <br />
