The City has
provided water service to the existing residence on the parcel since at least 1940, and has provided sewer
service since 2000. The owners of the parcel have applied to San Mateo County for approval to subdivide
the lot into two parcels and construct a new single-family home on a newly created parcel (parcel 2). As a
condition of approval, the County requires the property owner to secure new water and sewer
connections and services from the City for the proposed residence on the newly created parcel 2. The
water main and the sewer main that currently serve the existing residence are adequately sized to provide
water and sewer services to the proposed residence.
The City must receive LAFCO approval to provide water and sewer service to the Property. LAFCO has
requested, as condition of approval, that the property owner execute a Declaration of Restriction and
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
106
