There are numerous benefits to an all -electric code for new construction relative to carbon reduction, health, <br />safety, cost, and resilience. In addition, the adoption of an all -electric code recognizes the eventual <br />obsolescence of the gas infrastructure and its subsequent status as a stranded asset. <br />Please join Mountain View, Morgan Hill, and other communities in the Bay Area that are approving all - <br />electric Reach Codes. <br />Regrettably I am unable to speak before you tonight at the Council Meeting as I have a house full of "fire <br />refugees" who will be staying until they are (hopefully) able to return to their homes in Santa Rosa.
