Because my husband and I were <br />lucky enough to start a one year lease that expires next year, we will soon be the only people left in our fourplex <br />-- our landlord has given notice to all our neighbors, who were month-to-month. He would have done the same <br />to us next year, except we are protected by AB 1482, while our neighbors are falling through the cracks. Many <br />of these families will have nowhere to go -- right before the holidays, and in the middle of our chaotic fire and <br />power outage season. <br />I urge you to take immediate action on this issue by passing the strongest possible tenant protections on an <br />emergency basis. <br />Thank you, <br />Karen Tkach Tuzman <br />
