If adopted, this ordinance would be implemented immediately without any outreach to property <br />owners who may be processing an eviction. And these hasty ordinances, which will only be in effect <br />for two months, will create confusion and cause property owners to inadvertently violate the law from <br />not being informed of the change. <br />Adopting additional regulations, such as this, that make it more costly for housing providers to do <br />business in Redwood City and sends the wrong message to those contemplating housing <br />investments. <br />Most people agree that we have a housing problem in this area that needs to be addressed in an <br />intelligent and thoughtful manner. This is not a problem that cities can simply regulate their way out <br />of. <br />Please vote "no" on this ordinance and seek more meaningful solutions to the shortage of housing in <br />this area. <br />Brian Ponty <br />
