6.A. - Page 2 of 5 <br />Transportation Authority (TA), and community, and reporting within and for the City according to <br />established protocols. Staff has negotiated an amendment to the Agreement and recommends Council <br />approve Amendment No. 5, which provides for continued project management services for the PS&E and <br />R/W phase of work and on securing construction funding for the project. <br />The following are current, key milestones for the interchange project: <br />• January 2020 95% design <br />Updated funding strategy <br />• June 2020 100% design <br />Approved appraisal maps <br />• September 2020 Final PS&E <br />• October 2020 Right-of-way appraisal reports (used to refine cost estimate) <br />In coordination with City staff and the Transportation/Mobility Subcommittee, Krupka Consulting will <br />develop a recommended funding plan to take the project through construction completion for City Council <br />approval. Once the funding plan has been approved by the City Council and the San Mateo County <br />Transportation Authority, work can begin on right-of-way acquisition (estimated to take 2 years). After all <br />construction funding has been secured and right-of-way acquisition is complete, construction (estimated <br />to take 3.5 years) would begin. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds for this amendment are available from Measure A grant funds, approved January 5, 2017. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may choose not to approve the amendment and direct staff to modify the amendment <br />or to take alternate action. <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />8 <br />
