J R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14134 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT <br />PLAN <br />WHEREAS, Urban Water Management Planning Act ( "Act "; Water Code <br />Section 10610 et seq.) requires that every supplier providing water for municipal <br />purposes to more than 3,000 customers or supplying more than 3,000 acre feet <br />of water annually shall prepare an Urban Water Management Plan ( "Plan "), the <br />primary objective of which is to provide for conservation and efficient use of <br />water; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is an urban supplier of water <br />providing water to over 83,000 citizens, including residents and businesses; and <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires that the Plan shall be reviewed at least once <br />every five years; and <br />WHEREAS, after public review and hearing, the Plan shall be filed with <br />the California Department of Water Resources within thirty days of adoption; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has prepared and circulated for <br />public review a draft Urban Water Management Plan, and a duly noticed public <br />hearing regarding said Plan was held by the City Council on January 22, 2001; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1/22/01 <br />Reso -1069 1 <br />FAsharedVedwooftou ncil <br />DES:djk <br />01/10/01 <br />01 /22/01 R <br />
