7B <br /> Page 11 <br /> Section 901.10.2 Alarm System Testinq, Maintenance or Repair. it is a <br /> violation of this Code to cause the fire department to respond to an alas-m caused <br /> by alarm system testing, maintenance or repair. <br /> Section 901.10.3 As used in this section, "unintentional alarm" means an <br /> alarm caused by equipment malfunction, operator inadver�ence or operator <br /> negligence. "Unintentional alarm" does not include an a(arm caused by alarm <br /> testing, maintenance or repair {Ord. No. 2242, § 2, 12-5-2002) <br /> Section 12.22. SECTIDN 903.2.14 OF THE FIRE CODE ADDED. <br /> Section 903.2.14 is hereby added to the Fire Code to read as follows: <br /> Section 903.2.14. Automatic Sprinkler Systems. <br /> Notwithstanding fhe provisions of this Code or the provisions of any other <br /> Code of the City, approved automatic sprinkler systems shall be instalied in the <br /> foliowing buildings or structures: <br /> (a) New Buildings: (i} All new Group R, Division 3 occupancy dwel(ings and <br /> structures; �ii) Ail new dwelling units; (iii) AI! other new buildings or <br /> structures with a total floor area of three thousand (3,000) square feet or <br /> more. <br /> {b) Existing Buildings: {i) Group R, Division 3 occupancy dwellings and <br /> structures which add one thousand (1,000) sqsaare feet or more floor <br /> area; {ii} ail other buildings or structures which add floor area so that the <br /> floor area of the existing building plus the floor area of the addition is <br /> three thousand (3,000) square feet or more. <br /> (c) Change in Occupancy Graup: When there is a change in occupancy <br /> group or use from a less hazardous to a more hazardous occupancy <br /> group or use. <br /> In the event standards or requirements of this section are less restrictive than the <br /> standards or requirements of any other pravisions of the Redwood City Code, as <br /> amended, the more restrictive standards shall govern.
