7B <br /> Page 15 <br /> Attachment 2 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE OF <br /> LOCAL CLIMATIC, GE4LOGICAL AND TOPOGRAPHtCAL <br /> CONDtTtONS, THE PUBLtC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE, AN� <br /> NECESSITY, REQU{RE CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO CERTAIN <br /> PROVISI4NS OF CHAPTER 12 �F THE REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL <br /> CO�E REL�TING T0� THE /�[30PTiON BY REFERENCE OF TNE <br /> "{NTERNATIDNAL FIRE CODE, 20U6 EDITlON"; AS MODIFIED AND <br /> MADE APPLfCABLE TO THE CITY �F REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHERE/�S, pursuant to the pravisions of Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br /> Government Code, and Sec#ion 15 of the Charter af the City of Redwood City, this <br /> Council proposes to adapt by reference the International Fire Code, 2006 Edition, <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the "Fire Code"}; and <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modi�cations are <br /> praposed to be made to the substantive provisians of the Codes, which changes or <br /> madifications are reasanably necessary due to local climatic, geological and <br /> topographic conditions (the "Lncal Amendments"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Local Amendments, which are proposed to be made clarify the <br /> �ire Code and in certain instances, impose more stringen� protection requirements than <br /> are required by the Fire Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Local Amendments have been recognized by the City to <br /> address the fire problems, concerns, and future direc#ion by which the City can <br /> establish and maintain an environment which will afford a level of fire and Eife safety to <br /> all who live and work within i#s boundaries; and <br /> Atty/Reso.1762 � <br /> 120307 <br />
