EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> HOUSING TECHNICIAN <br /> <br />DEFINITION <br /> <br />To perform a wide variety of difficult and respons~ble paraprofessional duties, with <br />specific emphasis on procedures associated with federal and state grant applications and <br />real estate landing. Will work directly with stafflnvolved in the odmini.gtration of a federal <br />grant (Commlmity Development Block Grant) and the operation of a housing <br />rehabilitation program <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> <br />Receives general supervision from the Housing and Redevelopment Director, and reports <br />to the Housing Coordinator. <br /> <br />EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br /> <br />1. Maintain and utilize HUD Software to produce mandated reports for Consolidated <br /> Plan implementation and Grantee expenditures and benefit reports according to <br /> changing federal regulations. <br /> <br />2. Design internal data bases and tracking mecbanigms. <br /> <br />3. Create and maintain complex filing systems for HUD review; assemble material and <br /> type financial or statistical statements, requisitions, bills and other forms requiring the <br /> use of initiative and independent judgement. <br /> <br />4. Type and proofread material of a confidential nature, including spedalized documents <br /> with construction specifications, notes and deeds of trust, escrow instructions, other <br /> real estate loan doc-ments, Federal, state and county grant applications. <br /> <br />5. Act as receptionist, screen office and telephone callers, and wait on the general public, <br /> giving information on department policies and procedures; receive complaints and <br /> requests for information on regulations, procedures, systems and precedents relating to <br /> assigned duties. <br /> <br />6. Check reports, records and other data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with <br /> federal requirements, notarize documents. <br /> <br />7. Assemble and distribute agenda packages to Housing and H, man Concerlls Committee <br /> and Housing Rehabilitation Loan Committee. <br /> <br /> 8. Open, screen and route incoming mail <br /> <br /> <br />
