(iii) Cumulative Effects-the Project will increase vehicular traffic
within an already congested area. The level of service on US 101
will decrease, resulting in increased air pollutants. Said cumulative
effects are significant and unmitigatable because carbon monoxide
("CO") and nitrogen oxides ("NOx") from all planned regional
projects exceed one pement of countywide emissions. The above-
described mitigation measures relating to Regional Air Quality will
reduce the cumulative effects, but significant air quality impacts will
remain from the Project. However, State one and eight-hour CO
standards will not be exceeded by vehicular emissions associated
with the Project.

(iv) Stationary Soumes-significant impacts upon air quality will
result from stationary soumes including water heaters, heating,
ventilation, and cooling installations, and emissions associated with
such commemial activities as restaurants, manufacturing, or
production. Said emissions include CO, NOx and particulates.
Said stationary source emissions can, and shall, be avoided or
substantially lessened by conditioning Project approvals or other
entitlements with the requirement that the Project Proponent shall
comply with all BAAQMD stationary source controls prior to
issuance of occupancy permits by the City. Such mitigation shall
be implemented pursuant to said conditions and monitored by the
BAAQMD.

DES:rg 1 6
Reso-25a
G:~shared~edwood~Council
03/04/96
04/01/96R
